You can include text (like titles, dates, mediums, page counts, and short descriptions) under thumbnails in both masonry and grid galleries. They've just been removed in the masonry example so you can see a gallery with and without text.
If you have a lot to say about a particular work, consider using a link to a page instead of a lightbox.
